The Slammers, the Newport-Beach-based club, are continuing their dominance at the U.S. Youth Soccer Far Western Regionals in Las Vegas.

Five of the six Slammers’ girls’ teams are moving on to the semifinals that start today. The Slammers have been competing in the seven-day tournament that started on Monday.

The Slammers’ teams that qualified out of the U.S. Youth Soccer State Championships are the under-12, under-14, under-15, under-16, all which finished first, and the under-17 and under-18, which were runner-ups.

In Las Vegas, the under-18 team defeated the South Bank Ladybugs 3-1 in the quarterfinals on Friday.

The Slammers’ under-18 girls team will play Real Co National at 7 a.m. today in the semifinals.

The under-17 team defeated BCSC Premier 89/90 5-0 in the quarterfinals on Friday and will face Real Co National at 11 a.m. today in the semifinals.

The under-16 team defeated the Mustang Mavericks 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Friday and play Pleasanton Rage 650 at 7 a.m. today in the semifinals.

The under-14 team defeated Albuquerque United 4-0 in the quarterfinals on Friday and will play the Pride Predators at 9 a.m. today in the semifinals.

The under-12 team defeated Real Co National 2-1 in the quarterfinals on Friday and will play Southside Ireland at 7 a.m. in the semifinals today.

The under-15 team lost in the quarterfinals 5-1 against So Cal Blues on Friday, ending its tournament play.
