Ride the Coast fundraiser benefits Boys & Girls Club
Hundreds of motorcycle riders caused a stir as they cruised down Newport Boulevard toward the 55 Freeway, spanning out for nearly two blocks along the stretch of road during the Boys and Girls Club’s annual Ride the Coast charity event Sunday.
The open 70-mile ride throughout Orange County began at 8:30 a.m. from Santa Ana Auto Mall and took drivers through Newport Coast and down Pacific Coast Highway.
The Santa Ana Police Department’s motorcycle unit was present throughout the event to ensure safety.
Riders finished the course at Westfield MainPlace where they were greeted by lunch, live bands, vendors and prize drawings.
Money raised goes to The Boys and Girls Club of Santa Ana.
