    WEDNESDAYINDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

    The city-sponsored Fourth of July fireworks show will begin about 9 p.m. from Monument Point at Heisler Park, which will be closed all day. The area from Myrtle Street to Rockpile will close about 5 p.m. City trolleys will run from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. NOTE: Fireworks are prohibited in the city.

    THURSDAYART WALKFirst Thursday’s Art Walk is from 6 to 9 p.m. This month’s event will have a special unveiling of new public art pieces at the Act V parking lot on Laguna Canyon Road.     HORTENSE MILLER GARDEN

    The Hortense Miller garden covers 2 1/2 acres of the upper slopes of Boat Canyon, and features a range of plants and small-themed gardens.     SENIOR FITNESS

    YOGA IN THE PARK

    Carl Brown, a registered Yoga Alliance instructor, provides a free yoga program at 9 a.m. Monday and Wednesday at the tennis courts at Moulton Meadows Park. For rain days, the class moves to the club house at Laguna Terrace Mobile Home Park (see blog for directions). Students should bring their own mats.
