TARS ALUMNI TOURNEY SET

The Newport Harbor High alumni basketball tournament will take place July 28 at the school’s gym.

Check-in time for the tournament is at 8 a.m. and games start at 9. The tournament is expected to end about 2 p.m. Every team is guaranteed two games. Individuals can show up to register and will be placed on a team.

Registration is $25 per person and includes a T-shirt. For more information contact Jamie Holmes at (714) 915-2252.

SCHAC HOOPS CAMP

The Coach Schac Basketball Camp run by Ryan Schachter, the Corona del Mar High boys’ basketball coach leading the Sea Kings to the CIF Southern Section Division III-A championship and who was honored as the Division III-A Coach of the Year, will be July 16-20 at CdM.

The camp is $150 and open to boys and girls from 8 to 15 years of age. The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon.
