No. 13 Jake Gibb, of Costa Mesa, and Sean Rosenthal will face reigning Olympic champions and top-seeded Emanuel Rego and Ricardo Santos of Brazil today in the third round of the men’s competition. Third-seeded Estancia product Matt Fuerbringer and Casey Jennings had a rougher time Friday, and dropped two straight matches. Already hanging by a thread in the AVP losers’ bracket, Fuerbringer and Jennings were knocked out of the tournament when they lost 21-12, 21-14 in an upset to No. 9 Ty Loomis and Hans Stolfus.
