Pacific Animal Productions to teach conservation

As the Newport Beach Public Library’s Summer Reading Program comes to a close next week, junior patrons have an opportunity to learn about conservation and endangered species in a fun and interactive way.

Children of all ages are welcome to meet Cindi Cavallini of Pacific Animal Productions and her furry, feathered friends, including a fennec fox, capuchin monkey and talking parrot.

“There’s just something about the fact that these animals are alive and moving that makes the kids respond immediately,” said Mara Cota, a library assistant. “They get really involved in the learning aspect in a really entertaining sort of way.”
