The body of a 36-year-old Costa Mesa man was found in Huntington Beach early Thursday, apparently after a leap from a two-story building, police said.

The family of Mark Tylee Ryan reported him missing to Costa Mesa police on Wednesday, fearing he was suicidal, said Huntington Beach police Lt. Craig Bryant. The body was found by his brother’s girlfriend about 4 a.m., next to the medical building where Ryan worked, at Beach Boulevard south of Talbert Avenue.

An autopsy found he died about 1 a.m. Thursday because of injuries he suffered in the fall, according to the Orange County Coroner. No eyewitnesses have contacted authorities.
