Ready to rumble

World Wrestling Entertainment held the final casting round of its fifth annual Diva Search, an American Idol-style competition that crowns a new WWE Diva, at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach.

The search brought 50 women from around the United States and Canada to compete for a spot on the show. The top eight were chosen in Huntington Beach Aug. 16. WWE fans will vote for their favorites and one contestant will be eliminated each week. Voting starts online Sept. 10.

The eliminations will be done each week on WWE Raw, which airs on USA Mondays at 9 p.m. The winning Diva will be announced at WWE’s Cyber Sunday on Oct. 28.
