RESTAURANT ROUNDUP:Family restaurant now offers Sunday breakfast, NFL games

Skosh Monahan’s, the popular family restaurant at 2000 Newport Blvd., Costa Mesa, will start serving breakfast on Sundays beginning this week.

The doors open at 10 a.m. and, coinciding with the start of football season, fans will be able to choose from a special Sunday breakfast menu while NFL games are played on plasma TV screens throughout the restaurant.

“What is better than waking up on a Sunday morning and eating a great breakfast while watching the game?” asked owner Gary Monahan.

In addition to breakfast, a full service food and drink menu will also be offered, and kids eat free after 5 p.m.

The restaurant opens at 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 3 p.m. Saturday. Call (949) 548-0099.

 World Music Night begins on Thursdays

Chat Noir Bistro and Jazz Lounge, 655 Anton Blvd., Costa Mesa, will introduce World Music Night at 9 p.m. Thursdays beginning Sept. 9. Live entertainment by Tino and the Band will feature the sounds of Latin fusion, flamenco and Gypsy King style music in the Moulin Rouge bar. The bar features tables inside and out on the patio, with a selection of signature martinis, champagne cocktails, Alsatian beers and French and California wines by the glass.
