Sanitary District customers can get help cleaning pipes

Costa Mesa Sanitary District customers can get financial help to examine and clean out the pipes between their homes and sewer lines, which can decrease the chances of a sewage backup or spill. The district encourages regular cleaning and maintenance to prevent damage to homes and the environment.

Up to $1,800 per parcel is available to homeowners, including up to 50% of the cost of televised inspection, cleaning and reconstruction of sewer laterals. For information or to apply, call the Costa Mesa Sanitary District at (949) 645-8400, ext. 229.
