Police looking for HB man accused in stabbing

Huntington Beach police are trying to track down a man they say stabbed his ex-girlfriend multiple times.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Oscar Garcia, 30, Huntington Beach, should call Det. Sgt. Dave Deirking at (714) 536-5947.

Garcia came to his ex-girlfriend’s apartment in the 16100 block of Parkside Drive early Friday and spoke to her at the front door, police said. About 3 a.m. he began slashing at her with a knife, police said. The victim’s roommate tried to fight off the attack and took a minor cut to the hand.

The woman was taken to UCI Medical Center to be treated for multiple stab wounds to the face, shoulder and back, injuries which police said were not life-threatening.
