Kline School to request relocation at meeting
Costa Mesa private school operator Susan Kline will ask the city planning commission Monday to approve her plan to move Kline School from 18th Street to Adams Avenue. The school has been at 320 18th St. since 1987.
After losing the use of leased parking lot space last year, Kline now wants to relocate to the former Orange County Girl Scout Council headquarters at 1620 Adams Ave. Enrollment is now 50 students between ages 5 and 13, and the new building could ultimately serve as many as 120 students.
The school specializes in technology and the arts. Kline plans to add a playground if the commission approves her request. The commission meets at 6:30 p.m. Monday at 77 Fair Drive. To view the agenda visit www.ci.costa-mesa.ca.us/ council/planning/pa_070910.pdf.
