The Orange Coast Coast College football team improved to 2-0 Monday, when it was announced that Citrus forfeited its 27-10 season-opening win over the Pirates.

Citrus was deemed to have used an ineligible player.

IRVINE — Senior Brandon Foster scored the first goal of his career on an assist from Steve Trojanowski as the Anteaters improved to 3-0.

Freshmen Spencer Thompson and Amani Walker also scored and freshman Pat Barton had six saves to post his third shutout.

Vanguard 6, Bethel 3

MISHAWAKA, Ind. — Six different Lions scored in the finale of the Bethel Tournament Saturday at Bethel University.

Jason Swift, Sem Lopez, Tomislav Colic and Tom Culver scored to give No. 24-ranked Vanguard (4-0), a 4-0 lead in the first 37 minutes.

After Bethel halved the deficit, Juan Tolento and Luis Macias added goals for the winners.
