Chronic Cantina to host hurricane relief event

Chronic Cantina will take over Triangle Square 10 a.m. Sunday for a hurricane relief event featuring a bikini contest and appearances from the cast of MTV show “Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County.” The TV stars will model in fashion shows with clothing from designers such as Deanamon Clothing, Stuck Up Costumes and Brokedown. The fundraiser also will feature performances from bands Inhale and Off White and a contortionist.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Direct Relief International, a nonprofit organization that provides medical assistance to people affected by poverty, civil unrest and natural disasters.
