Sailors sink Sea Kings

The Newport Harbor Sailors won the Battle of the Bay Thursday with a 41-7 victory over Corona del Mar to bring the storied bell back to Newport Beach.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Sailors’ defense was ignited with two interceptions, and the team ended the first half leading, 21-7.

Two pass interference penalties on the Sailors helped give the Sea Kings their lone score of the night.

Quarterback Hunter Alder threw the 2-yard touchdown pass to Ali Meshkin.
