PET OF THE WEEK

TWINKLE

Twinkle is a female, long-haired white calico cat with a big black spot on her nose. Community Animal Network founder Diana Pfaff-Martin said Twinkle “needs something that we all would like to have — a good man and a nice piece of real estate with a yard.”

Twinkle is affectionate toward men, but has not gotten along with women.

Even from a distance, according to Pfaff-Martin, Twinkle will indicate she is upset with a woman by slapping her tail on the ground prior to growling and lunging as if to say “stay away.”

The organization would prefer the cat be adopted by a male.

Community Animal Network will show Twinkle in her caregiver’s home in Costa Mesa and along with the adoption has promised to provide “a single red rose for just the right man,” Pfaff-Martin said.

Sierra, the cat in need of reconstructive eyelid surgery, was adopted last weekend, and will now be able to have surgery thanks to all the donations the organization has received in her name.

Community Animal Network has pet adoptions every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. outside Russo’s Pet Experience in Fashion Island.
