Green Lightning 5, CDM 0: Gigi Light scored the first goal for the Green Lightning with an assist by Tamara Myers, who scored the second goal. Michelle Brookes and Megan Farley had two steals each. Rochelle Bowlin and Page Keys also scored. Monika Peterson, Kaelyn Kuenli, Lauren Steinke and Janet Zelpa combined to keep the ball out of the backfield and up toward the net. On defense, Andrea O’Campo, Hannah Beek and Paige Bell-Wheelan had stellar performances to keep CDM scoreless.

Boys under 14

Lucky Charms 2, CDM #2 0: Adam Kinder scored with an assist from Kyle Regan. Edwin Colindres also scored on an assist from Abner Viveros. That scoring play began from a long pass from Zane Torre. Eric Rosales blocked a penalty kick. David Morales, Bobby Swift, Connor Moore, Parker Joyce, Mason Murphy and Tanner Barrett contributed on defense.

Girls under 12

Great Green Sharks 1, The Shock 0: Britney Meyers scored the lone goal, on an assist from McKenna Johnson. Cassidy Davis and Julia Thorley played aggressively on offense. Hayley Beacham contributed on offense for the Sharks and also played a solid first half at goalie. Jordan Goldsberry and Tootsie Tuducan had great defensive games.

Hailey Smith and Sammy Whitney were threats for Team Shock. Emily Wolfe, in as goalie, got her hands on the ball and made a great stop. Chelsea Baker worked the ball to the wings with Leah Van Dyke. Krisitn Watanabe played with tremendous energy.

Green Strikers 2, Paradise Parrots 1: Tyler Stupor started the game off with a great run downfield for the Parrots. Nicole Franco had a great defensive block. Lea Phillips scored on an assist from the Brittnee Grosskopf. Felicity Giddings had a stop as goalie. Marlee Phillips had a great steal and Jaclyn Manderson had a huge kick downfield.

Girls under 10

Purple Penguins 4, Orange Crush 2: The Purple Penguins had their best offensive showing of the season. Cameron Dewan scored twice, while Julianna Eifler and Bailey Scalzo produced a goal each.

Emma Kathcart, Alexis Van De Langeryt, Kate Granoff, Brittany Wallace, Holland Hickson and Jessica Woodruff helped on defense to keep the Crush scoreless in the second half. Alyx Golan and Katie Kearns stopped several shots as goalies.

For the Orange Crush, Paige Alkire and Scout Farmer scored. Allison Hansom and Clara Eddy had an assist each. Mackenzie Paskerian and Skyler Gullick fired off shots to threaten. Orange Crush also had solid defense from Mackenzie Mowery, Hayley Allen and Hannah Alderson, while Rylie Siegfried and Emily Fay found many scoring opportunities.

Orange Crush 1, Wildcats 1: Midfielder Mackenzie Mowery showed outstanding ball control and delivered a nice center pass to Rylie Siegfried, who nailed it into the back of the net to tie the game. Mackenzie Paskerian, Hannah Alderson, Scout Farmer and Skyler Gullick helped on defense. Orange Crush goalkeeper Clara Eddy stopped all attackers with support from halfbacks Allison Hanscom and Paige Alkire. Emily Fay contributed on offense as well.

Thunder & Lightning 5, Hot Tamales 0: Destry Comp, Megan Keys, Maggie Osumi and Haley Martinez led the attack for the Hot Tamales. Goalies Kendall Cozenza and Rebecca Szulga blocked eight shots, while Caylee Talbot, Genesee Giedt, Megan Deegan and Demi Ronis worked together on defense. Aiding with blocks and passes were Amanda Cox and Callie Spooner.

Million Bucks 3, The Blue Crush 1: The Blue Crush defenders Astrea Montgomery, Vale Lewis, Abbey Scott and Sofia Vaides did an excellent job of holding the offense attack at bay, while midfielders Julie Mariano, Claire Olmstead, Grace Muenchow and Paige Fults applied tremendous pressure on the Million Bucks defense. Forwards Kate Hefner and Kelly Sandberg took numerous shots on goal but were unable to score, as the only Blue Crush goal game came on Paige Fults’ breakaway.

Girls under 8

Green Shamrocks: The Green Shamrocks defense, led by Avery Page, Lacey Ryan and Lysie Kenney, shut out its opponent. Rachel Bryant played her best game, assisting Ellie Brown on one of her two goals. Lily Woodall showed she is one of the area’s top players, assisting Olivia Zablan on her two goals.

Golden Fireballs vs. GoGo Girls: Lauren Babin blocked many GoGo goals to help save the day for the Fireballs. Lara Farinsky was quick on her feet as were Katie Browman, Lauren Lyons, and Betsy Calder with great defense. Jordan Golden scored on a great assist from Miranda McCormick. Michelle Pokusa and Syndney Palmer were key players on offense and defense.

Green Lions vs. Green Machines: Megan Carey made a number of goalie saves for the Lions, and Maggie Farwell had control of the ball many times. Arianna Schilling was a force on defense.

Boys under 8

Trojans vs. Cobras: For the second week in a row, the Trojans’ goalies of Lucas Mowery, Billy Shannon and Jack Pitchess produced a shutout. Patrick Folkner deflected every ball without fail. Mason McPhie and Luc Levine dominated a tough defensive battle. Will Sandburg used his fancy footwork while controlling the ball, switching seamlessly between defense and offense. Jake Bashore and AJ Stefano made effective passes.

Cheetahs vs. Gators: The Gators’ Tommy Hanle, Ian Hanson, Carter Bays and Domenic Christianson made great passes. Lucas Ovalle and Matthew Ingram cleared many attempts by the Cheetahs. Joshua Gehlke played well as goalie. Hunter Hall, Cole McFetters and Vincent Rubino each scored.

Green Bulldogs vs. Fireballs: Dylan Davis scored four goals for the Green Bulldogs, and Brady Scanlon and Brenton Schnetz also scored goals. Goalie Jack Taylor stopped several Fireball attacks, while Sammy Lohr had his best game of the season.

Surfin’ Dolphins vs. Panthers: Sean Waterman started the first quarter off with a goal, also playing good defense and displayed good dribbling. Nathan Porter made a great stop as goalie. Adam Lucas made a great block in a defensive position and was an aggressive goalie in the second half. In addition to scoring two goals in the second and fourth quarters, Scott Ryder had four shots on goal and exhibited good dribbling skills. Ian Schwartz played a good offensive game as center. Dillon Lippman made great passes to his teammates. Cole Schneider played a great defensive game as fullback.

Girls under 7

Island Girls vs. Surfing Strikers: Stunning footwork by Claire Jeffs and Nicole Nesbitt added fuel to the Island Girls’ fire as Alina Aguirre and Lauren Titelman were fierce in both offense and defense. Skylar Jacobsen, Claire Bacon Caroline Pipkin and Carolyn Altshuler also played well. Grace Fay scored a goal.

Girls under 6

Firecrackers vs. Pink Diamonds: Paige Bryant and Keilani Lee both scored goals for the Firecrackers, while Lily Shea made some great kicks. Ashleigh McPhie was solid on defense, while Courtney Ima was strong on offense. Katie Hess and Lily Newman displayed great all-around playing.

Shooting Stars vs. Ladybugs: For the Shooting Stars, Madison Mamelli scored a goal with an assist from Jeannie Williams. Mamelli and her teammates Peyton Russell, Alex Terry and Megan Houlihan racked up some breakaways, while Williams, Mamelli and Katie Ridley demonstrated strong defensive instincts. Houlihan and Kate Lynch also provided the Shooting Stars with solid kickoffs.

Surf’s Up vs. Hummingbirds: Zoe Arthur and Haley McLaughlin were great on defense, while Isabella Curci displayed fancy footwork for Surf’s Up. Caroline Farley and Bella Swart dominated, while Ali Woodward and Zoe Ziebarth each scored a goal.

Golden Stars: Sadie Pitchess defended the Golden Stars goal very well. Lauren Talley and Gracie Close showed great speed on offense. Gracie Kiehnle had three assists for Sadie Pitchess, Lauren Talley and Helena Mulville.

Pink Dolphins vs. Screaming Sharks: Leah Beehler and Tyesha Aguilar were stars on offense for the Dolphins. Rachel Gore had some great kicks. Cora Harmon, Mandy Evans and Jaden Golden contributed with their teamwork.

Boys under 6

Red Rhinos vs. Super Star Fire Dragons: The Red Rhinos’ Grady Birmingham scored two goals, one on an assist from Crossten Hall. Both Dane Carroll and Zach Forbath had goals for the Rhinos. Landon Searcy and Adam Searcy made great plays both on offense and defense.

Girls under 5

Purple Butterflies vs. Blue Dolphins: Kasey Scanlon dominated with frequent breakaways. Lauren Shepherd defended well. Owyn Stefano pursued the ball aggressively. Peyton Cagle showed great determination in her pursuit of the ball.

Sparkling Blue Unicorns vs. Golden Butterflies: The Butterflies scored a quick goal, then Bridget Walton found the net for the Unicorns. Lauren Friedman added another score for the Unicorns and Lilly Ozdere also scored. She played terrific defense, too. Lilly Wind-Boses helped her Unicorn teammates with sharp passing and solid tackling.

Blue Rockets vs. Purple Dragons: Kori Griscom and Tommy Kennedy consistently hustled back and led a strong defensive effort by the Blue Rockets. At the offensive end, Mathew Gurka and Luke Bashore applied constant pressure with their aggressive play. They were aided by Ryan McCarthy, who played his best game of the year and seems to get better every week. Cole McCunniff and Jackson Bryant continued to excel with their unselfish play, controlling the ball and setting up scoring opportunities for teammates. Tommy Kennedy came up with the play of the game. He preserved the tie by taking a hard-struck shot off his chest in front of the goal.

Boys under 5

Orange Crush vs. Dragons: Ethan Westerhout came out strong for the Orange Crush scoring the first goal against the Dragons. Brandon Kincaid, Tyler Li and Logan DeMoss attacked the goal numerous occasions with the help of Christopher Reimers’ solid offensive and defensive game.

For the Dragons, Nate Girvin scored two goals — one after a long breakaway and another after a short pass by Ryan Harner. Eli Leithem, Ryan Harner and Jackson Bantaall finished their individual breakaways by scoring a goal. Eric Jones played solid defense and prevented several Orange Crush goals.

Sea Creatures vs. Jackson 5: Owen Lucas and Joe Whelan scored for the Sea Creatures. Eddie Peterson helped set up the offense with some great throw-ins and kickoffs. On defense, Finn McClintock played well, as did Aidan Gassel.

Blue Flamethrowers vs. Yellow Lizards: Eli Liechty and Nicolas Cristiano made great passes for the Blue Flamethrowers, who showed improvement from every player. Jake Levine. Caden Fenn dominated both sides of the field and Ryder Dunn made many critical plays throughout the game.

Blue Storm Troopers: Griffen Lewis, Jack Larner, Matthew Coar, Cannon Kenney and Will Brown went on the attack and scored multiple goals.

Bulldogs vs. Dragons: Reese Carter, Luke Fyvie and Jason Hayward scored goals for the Bulldogs early on. But the Dragons piled on the pressure toward the end of the game with goals of their own. DJ Reese and Lawrence Andres provided tough resistance for the Bulldogs, and the defensive effort was rounded out by a great goal-line save from Luke Chandler.
