COSTA MESA — Ashley Peters, Taylor West and Jackie Crosson each shot five-over-par 40 and shared medalist honors for the Eagles in the Golden West League match at Costa Mesa Country Club’s Mesa Linda course Thursday.

Kim Haycraft finished with 41 and Tess Hill 45 for Estancia (11-1, 7-1 in league).

Kelly Harada’s 42 led the Mustangs (3-5 in league), who also included Melissa Dean (53), Chrissy Camarillo (55), Lindsey Slaney (56) and Cayley Camarillo (56).

The Eagles play for a share of the league title against Laguna Beach, which is undefeated in league, Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Costa Mesa Country Club.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Junior Tiffany Kim topped Sailors scorers with a personal-best three-over-par 39 in the Sunset League match Thursday at Mile Square Golf Course.

Lauren Draganza (41), Lindsey Hanna (43), Morgan Moody (44) and Ali Thomas (44) also scored for the Tars (12-3, 6-2 in league).

The Sailors play host to Los Alamitos Tuesday at Big Canyon Country Club at 3 p.m.

Valley Christian 312

IRVINE — Amy Babbush shot 13-over-par 49 to pace the winners in the Academy League match at Rancho San Joaquin Golf Club Thursday.

Kelsey Venditozzi (51), Sara White (52), Kimberly Venditozzi (56) and Christy Li (57) also scored for the Lightning (3-6, 3-4 in league).

Capistrano Valley Christian fell to 2-5 in league.

IRVINE — The Sea Kings narrowly missed upsetting the Pacific Coast League co-leader on its home course, Oak Creek Creek Golf Club, Thursday.

Victoria Park was medalist for Irvine (two-over-par 38), while junior Kelly Moorhead (41) paced Corona del Mar.

Katharine Hanson (42), Monica Phan (48), Tess Crane (50) and Amanda Johnson (54) also scored for Corona del Mar (5-7, 5-3 in league).

CORONA DEL MAR — Conley Kipp led the Sea Kings with 11 kills and three blocks in their 25-18, 25-22, 25-16 Pacific Coast League win Thursday.

Ashley Pries added 26 digs and Madie Smith contributed 31 assists for Corona del Mar (11-6, 4-0 in league), ranked No. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division II-AA. Kara Chatham produced nine kills and nine digs, while Jamie Lawson had 16 digs for the Sea Kings.

Corona del Mar plays at Laguna Beach, ranked No. 1 in CIF Division II-AA, on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

Calvary Chapel 46

COSTA MESA — Estancia took the top five spots to remain undefeated in the Orange Coast League dual meet Thursday at Fairview Park.

Jorge Martin won the race with the same time as second-place teammate Fernando Orozco in 18 minutes, 17 seconds.

Also for Estancia, Wes Barloon (18:18) was third, Wily Rodriguez (18:18) fourth and Damian Leon (18:19) came in fifth.

Estancia is 2-0 in league.

Calvary Chapel 38

COSTA MESA — Eunice Rodriguez led Estancia with a second-place finish in 20 minutes, 29 seconds in an Orange Coast League dual meet Thursday at Fairview Park.

Sindy Ramirez (21:01) took third for Estancia (2-0 in league), the defending league champion. Brianna Valencia (21:58), Kathy Fuentes (22:17) and Alejandra Peralta (22:23) finished fourth, fifth and sxith, respectively.

The Estancia teams compete in the Orange County Championships Saturday at Irvine Park.

Sage Hill 10, Whitney 8

CERRITOS — Junior Jaclyn Smrecek won 18 of 19 games at No. 1 singles and the No. 1 doubles team of senior Danielle Goodman and sophomore Niki Cochran won 18 of 21 to pace the Lightning in the Academy League match Thursday.

Sage Hill, ranked No,. 2 in CIF Southern Section Division IV, improved to 7-4, 3-0 in league.

Whitney fell to 5-5, 1-3.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — The host Chargers overcame a 1-0 deficit to prevail in the Sunset League game Thursday.

Junior Shannon Rohan converted an assist from senior Samantha Hill to give the Sailors (12-4-2, 4-1 in league) a first-period lead.

But the Chargers tied it in the second period and scored seven minutes into the 10-minute overtime session to give the Tars their first league loss.
