CORONA DEL MAR — The Sea Kings lost on points in their quarterfinal match against Torrey Pines, 47-44, on Friday at Corona del Mar High.
They split both the singles and the doubles putting them at 4-4, but the margin of victory between the games gave Torrey Pines the win.
The Sea Kings were able to win their first-round match over Menlo, 8-0
All four singles won their matches as did the doubles teams.
Troy, the tournament’s top seed, won both of its matches, 8-0, 8-0
CdM plays Valencia of Placentia today in a fifth-place semifinal at 11 a.m. at the Balboa Bay Club Racquet Club.

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO — Lindsey Kish had nine kills and one ace to help lead the Lightning to a 25-14, 25-18, 25-20 Academy League win Friday.
Sally Mace added four kills and three aces for Sage Hill (5-11, 3-1 in league), which plays host to St. Margaret’s Wednesday at 5 p.m.

Chaminade 0
COSTA MESA — The Sailors’ Claire Ramser and Shannon Rohan both scored a goal in their Sunset League win over Chaminade Friday at Harper Community Center.
Co-captain Samantha Hill had both assists for Newport Harbor (13-4-2, 5-1 in league).
Estancia Fall Classic
COSTA MESA — Costa Mesa won both of its matches Friday at Estancia with identical scores of 16-5.
Sam Edman had five goals for the Mustangs in their first-round match win against Westminster.
Goalkeeper Jackson O’Connor had 11 saves for Costa Mesa (9-6).
The second match was much of the same, with Skylar Twohig and Dustin Serrano both scoring five goals for the Mustangs.
Jackson O’Connor had seven saves in Costa Mesa’s second win of the day.
A win over Downey today would put Costa Mesa in the championship match.
