Community service credit options found at expo

Costa Mesa High School students seeking a charitable organization so they can earn community service credits in school will find the task that much easier Wednesday when representatives of many such nonprofit groups will be on campus to recruit volunteers.

The Service Learning Expo is an opportunity for organizations like the Orange County Interfaith Shelter, Someone Cares Soup Kitchen, Project Cuddle and the Community Animal Network to educate kids on different forms of volunteer work in their community.

Students are encouraged to engage in one-on-one conversations with the volunteers, hopefully sparking their interest in helping the needy.
