Weapons cache seized by police
A cache of some 30 weapons — including handguns, martial-arts weaponry, a stun gun and a bullet-proof vest — was confiscated around 7 p.m. Oct. 11 from a Laguna Beach man by police officers conducting a search warrant in the 500 block of Glenneyre Street, according to Laguna Beach Police.
Todd Colley, 26, was arrested on suspicion of selling marijuana, cultivation of marijuana and weapon-related charges. Colley was booked at the city jail and released on $45,000 bail, Sgt. Darin Lenyi stated in a media release.
Another person was detained and released pending a review of the case by the District Attorney’s office, Lenyi stated.
The warrants were obtained as a result of undercover operations conducted the past few weeks and further arrests may be made, according to Lenyi. As a result of the search warrants, two residences were searched and the following items were seized:
Two arrested in Ecstasy sales in North Laguna
Two Mission Viejo residents, one a minor, were arrested at 8:30 p.m. Oct. 16 by Laguna Beach Police officers following an undercover operation in a shopping center parking lot in the 600 block of North Coast Highway in Laguna Beach, according to Sgt. Darin Lenyi.
The suspects were taken into custody after they allegedly completed a drug transaction in the parking lot. Further arrests may be pending. Police seized as evidence 100 ecstasy pills with an estimated street value of $2,500.
Jacob Gillmore, 24, was arrested on a charge of sales of a controlled substance and booked at the city jail. He was later released on $25,000 bail.
A 16-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of sales of a controlled substance and was released to his parent after booking.
