A man accused of sexually assaulting and killing a Huntington Beach resident in 1984 was arrested Tuesday in Canada, according to Toronto police. Apparently he was only recently identified as a suspect.
Geraldo Go, 51, was arrested by the Toronto police fugitive squad at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Toronto police said.
The victim’s name was not known Tuesday night, but the killing happened in November 1984.
Go was scheduled to face extradition proceedings to bring him to the U.S. for prosecution. Orange County Superior Court records show a Nov. 11, 1984 murder charge for a Gerald Su Go and list him as a fugitive with a warrant for arrest.
