Lions release Robinson

Ramzee Robinson, Mr. Irrelevant XXXII as the last player chosen in the NFL draft, was waived by the Detroit Lions Monday, a day after making two tackles in his NFL debut.

Robinson, a cornerback from Alabama, played special teams, after being promoted from the practice squad Saturday. Robinson thought he had found his place after Detroit (4-2) beat Tampa Bay, 23-16.

“No matter how bad things get or how dark the road is, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel,” Robinson told the Detroit Free Press after the game. “It’s all about the attitude that you have toward it. With the attitude that you have toward it, man, during that process it’s going to make you a better human being.”
