The Huntington Beach Oilers played the first-place Mission Viejo Cowboys tough in their Jr. All-American Football Junior Pee Wee Division encounter Saturday but came away with a 16-6 defeat.

Nick Howard scored the only touchdown for Huntington, and the TD marked only the second time this season that the Mission Viejo defense had been scored upon.

The Oilers defense also was stout, limiting a Cowboys offense that had averaged 35 points per game to just 16.
