Free flu shots available at O.C. Health Care Agency

The Orange County Health Care Agency starts to combat the flu season by offering free flu shots at various Orange County locations beginning today.

Shots are available to individuals 50 years or older, people with chronic health conditions, healthcare workers, pregnant women, children from 6 months to their 5-year birthday, youth on long-term aspirin therapy, anyone living with children under 5 or adults over 50, and those living with people who are at high risk of complications from flu.

Locations in Costa Mesa are: Share Our Selves Medical Clinic, 1500 Superior Ave. all day; Costa Mesa Senior Center, 1695 W. 19th St. from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.; County of Orange Health Care Agency, 2845 Mesa Verde Drive East from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Hope Clinic at 2045 Meyer Place from 1 to 3 p.m.

Corona del Mar has one location at the Oasis Senior Center, 800 Marguerite Ave. from 9 to 11 a.m.
