IRVINE — Senior Kim Conlan’s blast from 40 yards out with the goalkeeper out was the difference in the Big West Conference game Tuesday night at Anteater Stadium.

Conlan’s first goal of the season, making her the 10th player on Coach Scott Juniper’s squad to score, helped the Anteaters (10-5-2, 4-1-1 in conference) jump over the 49ers (11-6, 4-2) into third place in the conference.

Freshman goalie Danielle de Seriere had three saves and freshman forward Tanya Taylor had two of the Anteaters’ six shots Tuesday.
