Boo Blast to take place today at El Morro
The El Morro Elementary School Boo Blast has been rescheduled for 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. today, two weeks later than its original date.
The event was postponed due to air quality concerns from the recent wildfires.
The Scooby-Doo-themed event will feature a cake walk, carnival rides, an array of booths featuring games and prizes, popcorn, churros, a bake sale, a raffle and a silent auction of class baskets.
Parking is available at Crystal Cove State Park; free shuttles will be provided.
Art programs meet for mentoring, viewings
The annual collaboration between Laguna College of Art & Design and First Thursday’s Art Walk member galleries culminates at an event from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6, when 19 Laguna Beach galleries, volunteering as mentors, will feature original works by Fine Arts seniors of during Art Walk.
The students will be present at each gallery exhibiting their work, which is available for sale. A percentage of sale proceeds will benefit the student artists, Laguna College’s Scholarship Fund, and the First Thursday’s Art Walk.
