HIGH SCHOOL ROUNDUP
TROY FORFEITS WINS
The Troy High School football team must forfeit six of its wins this season, including one to Corona del Mar.
The forfeit puts CdM’s record at 4-5, still one win shy of the .500 mark necessary to be considered for an at-large berth in the CIF Southern Section playoffs.
The Sea Kings, who ended the season 1-2 in the Pacific Coast League, lost to Troy, 27-7, on Sept. 14.
Troy Athletic Director John Turek said Tuesday that Troy’s new record would now be 1-8. The Warriors were 7-2 and 3-1 in the Freeway League, and were tied with Fullerton for second place in league. But the forfeit losses mean there will be no football postseason for the Warriors.
