Group offering prenatal care receives grant

Maternal Outreach Management Systems (MOMS), a nonprofit organization providing prenatal care and services to low-income pregnant and parenting women in Orange County, recently received a $50,000 grant from the PIMCO Foundation.

MOMS offers a women’s health education program, “For Her Health,” and is striving to provide monthly home visits to pregnant women and their babies.

By providing education, guidance and resources to women affected by poverty and lacking health insurance, MOMS believes it can “empower women to change attitudes, beliefs and adopt healthy lifestyle behaviors to improve their life-long health as well as the health of the entire family.”
