SAN LUIS OBISPO — Pirates sophomore guard Cortney Ford scored 30 points, one shy of her season high, in the semifinals of the Conoco Phillips Invitational Friday at Cuesta College.

Freshman Simone Ibbotson chipped in 16 points to help the Pirates cruise into today’s 4 p.m. title game against Friday’s Cuesta-Chaffey winner.

Orange Coast, which sank 12 three-pointers, including four by Ford, improved to 8-1.

L.A. Pierce is 7-1.

CHENEY, Wash. — Stephanie Duda had 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Anteaters in a nonconference game Friday.

Senior Miranda Forry had 15 points for UCI (3-3), for which Kelly Cochran and Kirian Ishizaki added 13 points apiece. Ishizaki, a sophomore point guard, added a season-high five assists to help the Anteaters earn their first road victory.

Eastern Washington fell to 1-5.

Cal Maritime fell to 3-3.
