Tiffany Monteiro added 13 for Estancia (1-4), which was down by just two at halftime before being outscored, 19-4, in the third quarter. The Eagles play again Friday night at 7 at Santa Ana.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Michelle Figueroa finished with a game-high 25 points and added nine rebounds, four steals and three assists in the Mustangs’ second pool-play game at the Fountain Valley Tournament Tuesday.

Kathy Trinh had 12 points and made two three-pointers for Costa Mesa (1-3).

The Mustangs, who opened pool play with a win against Los Alamitos, will find out today who their next opponent is in the tournament.

LONG BEACH — The Sea Kings couldn’t quite overcome a three-goal halftime deficit in the nonleague game Tuesday at Belmont Plaza.

Junior two-meter player Victoria Kennedy scored three goals for CdM (0-2), ranked No. 5 in the CIF Southern Section Division I preseason coaches’ poll. Kate Baldoni made seven saves.

Kendall Wootten scored a game-high five goals for No. 4-ranked Long Beach Wilson.
