Fergie to sign at Plaza for buyers of her new line

The pop star Fergie — short for Stacy Ann Ferguson and not the Duchess of York — is scheduled to appear at South Coast Plaza Saturday to sign autographs for buyers of her new fashion collection.

Starting at 3 p.m. in the Macy’s store, Fergie plans to sign autographs for the first 200 people who purchase $100 or more worth of her new bag collection, “The Dutchess.” The collection features bags in a number of designs, with colors including blue, pink and plaid.

Fergie, a former child actress who appeared on the television program “Kids Incorporated,” is a member of the R&B; group the Black Eyed Peas and has released solo recordings as well.
