The tournament celebrates its 20th year next week.

“This year’s tournament is a killer,” said Ocean View co-head coach Jimmy Harris. “Not only do we have some great teams and individual players competing, but the caliber of coaches who are coming is pretty impressive.

“We get a constant flow of fans come out for these tournament games, not only the fans from the schools competing but also fans from Orange County who enjoy high school basketball. It’s a great event.”

Among the top players competing in the tournament is Jrue Holiday of Campbell Hall. Holiday, considered one of the elite guards on the West Coast, has signed to play next year at UCLA.

In addition to host Ocean View, tournament games throughout the week will be played at the Gahr and Long Beach Wilson gymnasiums.
