LOS ANGELES — Junior Andrew Ellis scored 19 points, including two free throws with 10 seconds left, to help the Lions secure a nonconference win Saturday.

Sophomore Dennis Heenan led Vanguard (6-2) with 20 points, while senior Matt Davis came off the bench to add 10 points. Davis had a team-high eight rebounds, the final one coming with three seconds left after Vincent Camper missed the final shot for the Golden Eagles (4-1).
