Market Place to have canned food drive

The Orange County Market Place is going to mix business with charity from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 22 and 23 with a canned food drive at the Orange County Fairgrounds.

Any person donating a can of food will receive free admission to the market, which usually costs $2. All donations benefit the 2nd Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

Donations are accepted during the market’s regular hours of operation. They accept canned goods as well as dry and packaged products, personal care items, paper products and diapers.

The food bank serves about 400 charitable organizations in Orange County, supplying them with food and resources to support their efforts.
