CYPRESS — Senior Susan Moheimani made the decisive two free throws with 15 seconds left in overtime and scored all of the Sea Kings’ four points in the extra period in a pool-play game of the Oxford Academy Tournament Tuesday.

Moheimani also hit a pair of late free throws that made the difference in a 63-62 win over Bishop Amat Friday.

Sophomore Katie Bergsma led CdM (5-3) with nine points.

The Sea Kings continue pool play Thursday against Rancho Alamitos at 3 p.m.

CORONA DEL MAR — Sea Kings freshman Tessa Andujar earned a penalty kick in the 58th minute, and her sister Cosette, a junior, converted it for the decisive goal Tuesday at CdM.

The Sea Kings (4-3) also scored in the third minute of the game, when Lauren Smits scored on Lexi Hensen’s assist. But Estancia (4-5-1) tied the game in the 35th minute, when Jennifer Thomas scored on a through ball.

Corey Cano and Lindsay Luke each made one save for CdM, while Allyson Wallace made eight for Estancia. CdM Coach Bryan Middleton also credited defenders Kaylee O’Connor, Brynn Johnson and Smits for their solid play.

Estancia sweeper Daisy Martinez also had a standout game.

CdM plays host to Newport Harbor on Thursday at 3:15 p.m. in the Battle of the Bay.

NEWPORT COAST — Lightning freshman midfielder Megan Kim scored the deciding goal in the 76th minute off Louisa Whitaker’s pass, lifting Sage Hill to a nonleague home victory Tuesday.

Whitaker, a sophomore, also assisted sophomore Jackie Dion’s goal in the first minute of the game for the Lightning (2-2-1). She then scored herself in the 16th minute to stake Sage to the early lead.

Newport Harbor 1

SAN CLEMENTE — Junior Kayla Henrie scored the game’s first goal for the Sailors, who suffered their first loss of the season in a nonleague game Tuesday.

Henrie scored on her corner kick in the first half. Freshman goalie Sydney King had three saves for Harbor (4-1-2).

FULLERTON — Senior Stefan Kaluz led the Sea Kings with 16 points in the second round of the North Orange County Championships Tuesday at Troy High.

Senior Joe Eberhard added 10 points and freshman Clayton Ragsdale had eight points for CdM (4-2), which will play today at Troy at a time and against an opponent to be determined.
