TUESDAYCanyon View Drive: A fire that started outside a residence and set a garage on fire was reported at 2:06 a.m. and extinguished by firefighters in the 900 block.

Cedar Way: A Laguna Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 1:16 a.m. after a traffic stop at Rosa Bonheur Drive.

Coast Highway: A woman reported at 3:29 p.m. that her purse had been stolen several days ago from her vehicle parked at a medical center and $2,000 charged on her credit card in the 31800 block.

Ocean Avenue: A Lake Forest man was arrested on suspicion of drug possession at 12:28 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 200 block.

South Coast Highway: A man was arrested on suspicion of trespassing at 9 p.m. after allegedly grabbing food from a diner and asking for money in the 1200 block.

MONDAY

Barranca Way: Two vehicles and a mailbox were reported damaged by a possible hit-and-run driver at 7:36 a.m. in the 0 block.

Catalina Street: A wallet was reported stolen at 9 a.m. from a vehicle in the 1900 block.

Diamond Street: A vehicle was reported burglarized at 9:53 a.m. in the 300 block.

Forest Avenue: A woman reported to police headquarters at 8:38 a.m. that her granddaughter had been pelted in the face with jawbreakers by a group of young males on Dec. 7 during Hospitality Night, in the 500 block.

Laguna Avenue: A Corona del Mar resident was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 1:37 a.m. at South Coast Highway.

Ocean Way: Lifeguards responded to a report of a possible hazard when a large empty trash barrel washed up on shore at 2:29 p.m. in the 1900 block at Woods Cove beach.

St. Ann’s Drive: An attempted break-in was reported at 10:27 a.m. at a church in the 300 block.

South Coast Highway: An Illinois man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting a bottle of vodka at 8:43 a.m. at a store in the 700 block.

South Coast Highway: A motorcycle was reported stolen at 9:19 a.m. after being left at a motel in the 2000 block.

SUNDAY

Aster Street: A Newport Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 2:04 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 200 block.

Beverly Street: A $600 wreath was reported stolen at 8:08 a.m. from the door of a residence in the 200 block.

La Brea Street: A car cover valued at less than $400 was reported stolen at 10:47 a.m. in the 200 block.

Legion Street: A woman’s underwear was reported stolen at 1:05 p.m. from a dryer at a Laundromat, and a “dirty” note left on the victim’s vehicle, in the 300 block.

Miramar Street: $17,000 worth of gold and diamonds was reported stolen over the previous week at 2:36 p.m. in the 1100 block.

South Coast Highway: A man was taken to the hospital at 2:58 p.m. after being reported lying down on a bench with bloody face and hands due to tripping and falling in the 100 block.

South Coast Highway: An Irvine man was cited on suspicion of drinking in public at 1:51 a.m. in the 1100 block.

South Coast Highway: A jacket was reported stolen at 12:03 p.m. from a shop in the 300 block.

SATURDAY

Anita Street: A Mission Viejo man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 12:34 a.m. at Glenneyre Street.

Cypress Drive: A Huntington Beach man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 2:17 a.m. after reportedly speeding and going the wrong way on a one-way street in the area at Monterey Street.

Forest Avenue: A homeless man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 4:30 p.m. in the 200 block.

Forest Avenue: A Washington state man was arrested at 11:40 p.m. on suspicion of DUI after allegedly swerving all over the road at Broadway.

Glenneyre Street: A woman was taken to the hospital after her Mercedes flipped on its roof during an accident at 4:40 p.m. at Arch Street.

Glenneyre Street: A briefcase with a laptop and cell phone, totaling $3,000, were reported stolen at 9:13 a.m. at Cress Street.

Park Avenue: A Laguna Beach woman was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on suspicion of DUI after her vehicle allegedly hit a truck in the 500 block.

South Coast Highway: Two girls were reported fighting and drawing blood at 1:27 a.m. in the 1100 block.

South Coast Highway: A $600 iPod and $400 sunglasses were reported stolen at 12:07 a.m. from a vehicle in which the window was smashed at an underground parking lot in the 1200 block.

St. Ann’s Drive: A truck window was reported smashed and a $1,200 telescope lens and $100 worth of CDs stolen at 3:47 a.m. at Glenneyre Street.

FRIDAY

Coast Highway: A Laguna Niguel man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:11 p.m. after allegedly smashing into a vehicle at Montage Resort Drive.

Glenneyre Street: A Dana Point man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 5:54 p.m. after a traffic accident at Mermaid Street.

Laguna Avenue: A man who had fallen and hit his head was taken to the hospital at 9:49 p.m. at South Coast Highway.

Mermaid Street: Fifteen kids were reported to be skateboarding down the Third Street hill at 9:18 p.m.

St. Ann’s Drive: A homeless man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at 5:48 a.m. in the 300 block.

THURSDAY

Forest Avenue: A Laguna Beach woman was arrested at 6:07 p.m. on suspicion of DUI at Broadway.

Marine Drive: A Laguna Beach man was arrested at 2:47 p.m. on suspicion of DUI after he was observed allegedly drinking beer in a vehicle in the 1100 block.

Oak Street: A purse was reported stolen at 8:41 p.m. after the window was broken in a vehicle at South Coast Highway.

Ocean Avenue: A homeless man was arrested at 12:39 p.m. on suspicion of public intoxication after he was found sleeping on the sidewalk in the 300 block.

Park Avenue: A Laguna Beach woman was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 11:11 p.m. after she was reportedly swerving on the road at South Coast Highway.

South Coast Highway: An Irvine man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 1:53 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 1100 block.

WEDNESDAY

Bluff Drive: Lifeguards were called to rescue a man caught in high surf at 3:44 p.m., but the man got out on his own at West Street beach in the 31500 block.

Forest Avenue: A vehicle window was reported smashed in an apparent break-in at 12:05 p.m. in the 300 block.

Main Beach: A 53-year-old was given medical aid at 5:09 p.m. after apparently suffering a heart attack near the basketball courts.

Monterey Street: A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle at 7:45 a.m. in the 31300 block.

North Coast Highway: A Redlands man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 12:40 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 100 block.

Ocean Avenue: An Arizona man was arrested on suspicion of DUI at 1:27 a.m. after a traffic stop in the 200 block.

San Tropez Court: A Mission Viejo man and a Laguna Hills man were arrested on suspicion of drug possession at 1:53 p.m. after a traffic stop at Club Drive.

South Coast Highway: A purse, cellphone, wallet, ID and a bag of school supplies were reported stolen at 6:30 p.m. after a vehicle window was smashed in the 1200 block.

Valido Road: A mailbox was reported destroyed by a vandal at 1:05 p.m. in the 31500 block.
