The team recorded nine shutouts and faced multiple teams from the Newport-Mesa area, as well as Tustin and Irvine.

“While I am proud of the notable accomplishments of this team — a goal kick point, multiple hat tricks and a bent-in corner kick — what stands out the most is that every boy on the team scored at one point during the season,” Slammers Coach Ralph Lopez said. “That’s teamwork.”

The Slammers under-10 Club will hold open practices starting in January on Mondays and Wednesdays, 4:30-6 p.m. at the Grant Howald field in Newport Beach. More information and to confirm open practice dates can be obtained at www.slammers.org.
