COSTA MESA — Sophomore Courtney Ford paced the winners with 23 points in the nonconference game, becoming the fourth Pirate to surpass 1,000 career points.

Ford made 10 of 18 field-goal attempts and added a team-best six rebounds to help the Pirates (15-1), ranked No. 2 in Southern California and No. 3 in the state, up their winning streak to 12.

Sophomore point guard Rachael Maulit had 12 assists to move within 17 of topping Stacey Giem for No. 2 on the Pirates’ career list.

Mt. San Jacinto, which lost to OCC, 73-61, on Nov. 24, fell to 7-5.
