Blood donors can enter for chance to win vacation

Anyone who donates blood or platelets to the Red Cross in Southern California will get a free voucher for Daphne’s Greek Cafe, two free Los Angeles Clippers tickets and be eligible for a vacation for two valued at $1,000 to one of five destinations.

Daphne’s Greek Cafe is offering a voucher for a free Gyros Pita Jr. Sandwich and the Los Angeles Clippers tickets are for select games in February.

With blood inventory levels critically low during the holiday season, the Red Cross is pulling out all the stops in January to get people to save a life. On top of the two free gifts, donors can enter a drawing to get a free vacation to one of five places: San Francisco, Las Vegas, Mammoth Mountain, the Grand Canyon or a Baja cruise.

The vacation winner will be announced Feb. 15.
