Beer bottles used in alleged fight between two men, 18

Two Costa Mesa men were arrested New Year’s Day on suspicion of fighting with beer bottles, according to Costa Mesa police.

Robert Lopez and Saul Ivan Padilla, both 18, were taken into custody near Knowell Place and Maple Avenue after police received a call reporting a fight in the 2100 block of Pomona Avenue, according to Sgt. Bryan Glass. Witnesses were able to describe the vehicle the men left in and police later found them driving with two other men, but only Lopez and Padilla were arrested.

No injuries were reported and no other arrests have been made.
