Women’s group features activist for human rights
A local women’s political action committee will host a lunch featuring human rights activist Monique Beadle 11:30 a.m. Jan. 22 at the Center Club, 650 Town Center Drive.
Beadle is a refugee director for the World Organization for Human Rights USA, where she organizes litigation on behalf of woman who have experienced gender-based violence.
In her talk, Beadle will talk about the status of these refugees and how her organization is working to help them.
The talk is hosted by the group Women In Leadership, a bipartisan abortion rights activists political action committee.
