Registration for primaries open until late Tuesday

Procrastinating voters may take some comfort in the announcement that the county offices of both the Republican and Democratic parties will stay open until 11:30 p.m. Tuesday for residents hoping to register for the Feb. 5 Presidential Primary.

Tuesday is the last day California residents can register.

“This will be the culmination of our strong voter registration efforts in Orange County for the Presidential Primary,” Scott Baugh, chairman of the Orange County Republican Party, said in a news release. “If you have recently moved or would like to change your party affiliation, please visit our party headquarters.”

The Orange County GOP headquarters are at 1800 West Katella Ave., Suite 210, in Orange, right off the 57 Freeway in the SC Fuels building. The county’s Democrats are housed in 200 N. Main St., Mezzanine level in Santa Ana.
