COSTA MESA — Senior Stacy McDaniels scored three goals off corner kicks Thursday as the Eagles remained unbeaten in Orange Coast League play.

Sophomore Kendra Fisher scored once for Estancia (9-6-2, 3-0-2 in league). Sophomore goalkeeper Allyson Wallace recorded the shutout.

Costa Mesa 2, Laguna Beach 1

COSTA MESA — The Mustangs recorded their first Orange Coast League win of the season Thursday afternoon, as junior striker Kyra Graham scored just two minutes into the game.

Freshman Sami Feinstein scored the second goal for the Mustangs (7-8-5, 1-1-3 in league) ten minutes into the second half off a corner kick.

Junior goalkeeper Jessica Rubright had three saves for the Mustangs, and senior Kalea Seanoa added one.

Breakers goalkeeper Lura Hills had four saves, and each team had eight shots.

Laguna’s Holden Penney scored on a free kick right before the end of the game to spoil the Mustangs’ shutout.

Costa Mesa will play at Calvary Chapel Tuesday at 3 p.m.

Corona del Mar 2, Beckman 1

IRVINE — Freshman Tessa Andujar scored two goals for the Sea Kings to lead them to a Pacific Coast League sweep over Beckman Thursday.

Andujar scored in the 29th minute off an assist from sophomore Haley Raguse, then scored an unassisted goal in the 57th.

The Sea Kings are 10-6-3, 3-2 in league.

ANAHEIM — The Sailors won the overtime session of a tie game continued from Jan. 3, but lost the game that followed in Sunset League action Thursday.

Senior Emily Ohlhaver scored in the second of the two 10-minute overtime sessions, then assisted sophomore Elizabeth Eddy’s goal three minutes later for Newport Harbor (6-5-6, 3-2-1 in league).

But Esperanza (14-2-2, 5-1), ranked No. 2 in the CIF Southern Section Division I coaches’ poll, scored the second game’s only goal in the 48th minute.

Freshman goalie Sydney King made seven saves in the second game for the Sailors.

Costa Mesa 9, Tustin 5

TUSTIN — Junior Ashley Rendon scored four goals to help the Mustangs in the nonleague game Thursday at Tustin High.

Senior Talhia Nuñez, sophomore Hannah Speer and freshman Sydney Rosello all scored twice for Costa Mesa (10-16).

ANAHEIM — The Sailors scored two points in the second half, missing on all 11 field-goal attempts after halftime in the Sunset League game Thursday.

Senior Kelly Thompson and sophomore Coleen Mead scored five points each to lead Newport Harbor (6-14, 0-6 in league), which committed 35 turnovers. The Sailors finished seven for 26 from the field.

NEWPORT BEACH — Sailors senior Josh George improved to 33-2 on the season with a major decision win at 145 pounds in the Sunset League dual meet Thursday.

Newport Harbor Coach Dominic Bulone said senior Edgar Guadarrama scored a big win at 171 pounds, with a 9-8 overtime decision over highly-ranked Anthony Vasquez.

Other wrestlers winning for the Sailors (10-6, 1-3 in league) included junior David Garcia at 135 pounds, senior Guillermo Perez at 215 pounds and junior Cameron Rausch at heavyweight. Sophomore Nathan Dickey also picked up his first varsity win at 140 pounds.
