Hyper holds on

Hyper jumped out to a 3-0 lead over the Bandits in their Wales Division weekend match and rode that start to a 4-1 victory at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Two goals by Kristian Burkhardt and one by Anthony Tullio allowed Hyper to take a 3-0 lead early into the third period. Drew Sorbom netted a goal with three seconds left to close out the scoring.

Blake Miller finished with 31 saves.

Trevor Brenden scored, and Connor Culhane had an assist for the Bandits.

Blake Walker had 23 saves.

In other Wales Division action

Black Biscuits 7, Killer Instinct 4

Zac Witt scored three goals and Jake Beardshear and Matthew Bozanich both scored twice as the Black Biscuits took care of Killer Instinct.

Alex Cook scored twice for Killer Instinct.

In Norris Division action

Revolution 4, Ducks 3

A late rally by the Revolution resulted in an overtime victory over the Ducks.

Stephen Kim scored the only goal of the third period to lift the Revolution into a 3-3 tie.

Tanner Osterkamp, Ryan Osterkamp and Markus Boyer all scored for the Ducks. Clayton Culhane had an assist and Logan Matsunaga had 23 saves.

Rink Rats 7, Stallions 4

Dylan Reightley scored twice, and Cole Pavlik once during a 3-0 third-period run by the Rink Rats that spelled the difference against the Stallions.

Reightley scored three goals overall.
