O.C. nonprofit hosts dinner to honor three, raise funds

Three community leaders will be honored while funds are raised to support higher education at a Kindercaminata dinner at 6 p.m. Feb. 27 at the Orange County Department of Education in Costa Mesa.

The 16th annual fundraiser will celebrate Assemblyman Jose Solorio, Crevier BMW owner Don Crevier and Vice President of Student Affairs at Cal State University Fullerton Esiquio Uballe.

Reservations are $100 per person; $1,000 sponsorships are available.

Kindercaminata is a local nonprofit agency that works to spark interest in education when children first hit the books — kindergarten.

They work with children to educate children about careers appealing to them and help to set them on a path that will excite them about attending college.

Past sponsors have been Rep. Loretta Sanchez and the Disneyland Resort.
