Revolution rolls to win

Garrett Felix scored four goals and Preston Yamasaki netted three others to lead the Revolution past the Rink Rats, 10-5, in a Norris Division match at Coast 2 Coast Inline Hockey Center in Huntington Beach.

Felix did all of his scoring in the first two periods, getting two goals in each period.

Yamasaki opened the scoring in the match and also had a goal in the final two periods.

Jordan Reichenbach scored twice and Katrina Manalac once to close out the scoring for the Revolution.

Felix and Grant Kang each had two assists, and Reichenbach and Stephen Kim each had an assist.

Ricky Meyer had 24 saves.

Patrick Standel opened and closed the scoring for the Rink Rats and had three goals overall.

Cole Pavlik had a goal and assist, and Nicholas Perez scored.

Aaron Pumphrey recorded 23 saves.

In other Norris Division action

Hornets 7, Puckhogs 3

The Hornets bolted to a 6-0 lead before the Puckhogs could get on the scoreboard in rolling to the win.

Sean Morris’ two goals led a Hornets offense that also saw Alex LeBas, Hunter Barrett, Maverick Knight, Ethan Michaelis and Scott Begg score. Brayden Moore had two assists and Morris, Barrett and Begg each had an assist.

Weston Bechtold had 20 saves.

Brandon Doyle scored once and Amanda Vongries twice, all in the third period, for the Puckhogs. Jesse Magallon and Thomas Olaes each had an assist and Timothy Fisk had 16 saves.

Young Guns 6, Flames 2

The Young Guns used a balanced offense and overcame an early 1-0 deficit to defeat the Flames.

After the Flames had taken a 1-0 lead in the first period on a goal by Matthew Bird off a feed from Payton Marlow, the Young Guns score the next five goals to open up a 5-1 lead.

Scoring for the Young Guns were Preston Alvarez, Andrew DeCarlo, Keanu Maunula, Shane Geller and Cole Geller. Maunula also had two assists and Shane Geller, Jeremy Williams and Jesse Mellema each had one assist.

Connor Mellema finished with 18 saves.

Scott Jervik scored the other Flames goal and Matthew Manning had 16 saves.

Ducks 6, Stallions 3

Tanner Osterkamp and Blake Luevano each scored twice as the Ducks skated past the Stallions.

Tyler Donelson had a goal and assist, Marcus Boyer scored once and Ryan Osterkamp had two assists.

Logan Matsunaga recorded 20 saves.

Danny Mattero, Brenden Crawford and Tyler Beardshear scored for the Stallions and Mitchell Sprague had 18 saves.
