Shirley Tilly

Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Shirley Ann Tilly, died January 11, 2008. Born June 22, 1937 in Nashua, Montana to George Kugler and Martha (Birkland) Kugler, she married William Tilly, Jr. on February 13, 1960 and moved to Costa Mesa in 1966. She will be most remembered for her generous hospitality, her courage and grace in the face of chronic illness, her compassion for people and her commitment to her family.

She is survived by her husband William Tilly; sister Gertrude Weischedel; daughter Anne Palma (husband Romney); son W. David Tilly III (wife Rebecca); son Matt Tilly (Costa Mesa); three granddaughters, and countless friends. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Lung Association or to St. Joseph Hospice, Orange, CA.
