Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar in Newport Beach is set to be among a few venues debuting actor Paul Newman’s new wines at a special dinner at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The restaurant at 455 Newport Center Drive in Fashion Island plans to offer a five-course meal accompanied by Newman’s Own Wines as well as others by Oscar-winning director and winemaker Francis Ford Coppola. The Newman’s wines, a Chardonnay and a Cabernet Sauvignon, are expected to have their official release in March.

Russ Bendel, the operating partner for the Newport Beach Fleming’s, said he would gauge customer reactions to decide whether to make the wines a permanent part of the menu. The Newman’s wines will also debut next week at Fleming’s locations in Southern California.

The cost of the dinner is $95, plus tax and gratuity. Bendel said the dinner in Newport Beach was sold out, but the restaurant can be reached at (949) 720-9633 in case of an opening.
