BREAKDOWN: The Anteaters (13-14, 7-6 in the Big West Conference) put their 10-0 record in games played on their campus on the line against the conference-leading Matadors (19-7, 11-2) ... Northridge defeated Cal State Fullerton, 82-74, Thursday at Fullerton to gain the top spot in the Big West standings ... The Matadors defeated the Anteaters, 69-64, in their first meeting this season, Jan. 31 at Northridge ... UCI is coming off a 64-57, come-from-behind win over visiting Long Beach State and has won four of its last five ... The Anteaters enter tonight’s game in fifth place, 1 1/2 games behind fourth-place Pacific. The top four teams earn a bye in the postseason conference tournament, while those who finish fifth through eighth must win four games in four days to earn the conference’s lone automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament ... UCI is led by 6-foot-6 senior forward Patrick Sanders, who scored a team-high 23 points, including the squad’s final 11, against Long Beach State to up his scoring average to 15.6 points per game ... Northridge has five players averaging double figures, led by junior Deon Tresvant (13.2 ppg).
